Central Forida Racing Team (Lakeland, FL) 6/1/65.
Driven by Walt Hane (Maitland, FL) in SAAC National events including Palm
Beach during
the '65 season. Hane finished 4th at ARRC (Daytona). For the '66 season
Blessing let Hane
use 5R103 with the understanding that he return int at the end of the season
in good
condition. Hane and mechanic Webster Benner campaigned the car throughout
the
southeast, including Palm Beach, finishing 1st in the ARRC (Riverside, CA).

Ban Beuren (Mexico City, MEX) in 1966. The stripes
were painted the Mexican National flag racing colors (red/white/green).
5R108 won the"
SCCA Southwest Division '66 and finished 3rd at '66 ARRC (Riverside, CA). It
won its
class at '66 Sebring 12 Hours, co-driven by Paul Jett, Jr., with 185 laps,
finishing 16th
overall. 5R108 was also featured in Racing Annual 1968 edition, in a
Champion Spark
Plug ad in Sportscar 3/68, and an Amaline Oil ad in Sportscar 6/67.

cars were
made. This car comes with Magnum 500 wheels, G.T. 350H
insignia, Cobra logos on

Dan Gerber's 1965 Shelby R-Model

Son of the famous baby food maker, Dan Gerber
competed in many vintage races such as
June Sprints Road America 1966, Mid Ohio Raceway July 1966, and Lyndale
Farms 1966.
Going a little wide on the first lap of the Nationals at Lyndale, Wisconsin,
Gerber managed
to retain his current lead and won the race in July of 1966. During the
Mid Ohio '66 race
he lead Don Yenko's Corvette Stingray.

GT350 #SFM5R098 was the seventh of 36 factory-built competition cars
completed. It was
delivered in May, 1965 to Ned Owen of Malvern, PA. Originally finished with
the traditional
twin blue "LeMans" stripes, Owen immediately changed them to one wide black
stripe
with narrow orange stripes at the outer edges. These were the race team
colors of the
Essex Wire Corp., a supplier of electrical wiring to the Ford Motor Co.
Today the current
car owner, Rick Kopec and 5R098, can be seen competing in several vintage
races every year.

1966 Shelby G.T. 350S

One of the rarest Shelby G.T. 350'S of them
all, #6S051 was the first G.T. 350 ever to be
painted a color other than white. It came from the factory with a
supercharged 289
engine and is considered the "Paxton Prototype". The supercharger boosted
engine
output to nearly 400 horsepower. #6S051 was the only G.T. 350 ever to
receive the "S"
designation in the side stripes. The model features Goodyear Blue DOT Tires,
Shelby/Cragar
wheels, chromed 3-spoke steering wheel, plaid style trunk liner, and factory
color matching
ivy green metallic paint. The back of the packaging contains a detailed
history of the car
and the front displays #6S051 in an original factory photo setting.
